Aha, you need to spend some time on the site and stay active and so on and maybe then she will access you to become a Moderator. Unless she creates a form where you may fill out to be one, but needs to be approved by her only or admins only. She might be picky with who she chooses like me, since she has to be careful WHO she promotes to. Here are examples of Rules from my site: websitegeek.the-talk.net ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1:.Good Natured, Understandable and helps people EVEN if they're embarrased to ask for it. 2:.Moderators SHOULD NOT ask you for your Password. 3:.Moderators MUST pay attention to THEIR assigned Forum/Board on the site. 4:.Moderators need to be a bit picky when it comes to HTML Codes. (Code Moderators) 5:.Moderators need to follow Da Rules on the site AND Geek's Intructions on what to do or how to do something. 6:.Moderators MUST be active to help people in the Support Forum/Board as well. 7:.IF a moderator threatens you or isn't nice, report it I don't think we need you to retort to that moderator. 8:.Moderators WILL ALWAYS HELP YOU, because that's why they are here! 9:.There are different types of Moderators, Support Moderators are the ones I'm really picky about, since they have to answer questions and need to be avtive A LOT. 10:.Moderators always tell you to have Geek FuN, if not then that Geeky Mod hasn't read this. 11:.Moderators SHOULD NOT ask for personal information, report them.
As well as there may be questions she might want to ask you, for example:
- What kind of Moderator?
- Are you eligible?
- Do you have staff experience?
- Will you follow the Rules of this site?
- Have you memorized the site's Rules?(This is random honestly)
- Are you of age to be a Moderator? (Usually 18+ but the average for this type of website would be along the lines of... 15+ sometimes a possible exception of 14, depending on the maturity expressed)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And here is what my friend typed, while I talked to her on the phone about NOT being entitled to staff position.
Unless it is offered to you, but that is of course different. I want to make this clear so as to head off future issues. I'm tired of this blowing up in our faces a couple times a year.
Staff positions of any kind on this site are given to friendly, active, helpful members who consistently show they respect the rules, other members and the site in general. {Offsite interactions with other members ARE taken into limited consideration with regards to any reports of harassment or frequent drama with multiple members.} They do NOT use tactics to subvert it--such as passive aggression.
If you joined this place to become staff, that does not entitle you to a staff position; if you really really want it and seem to do everything right, and still aren't getting picked, it does not entitle you to complain about not being picked. You are free to volunteer, but it does not guarantee you a spot. We are VERY careful, and very picky. The wrong person on staff team could create serious problems.
We DO keep an eye out for drama creators. Otherwise known as drama queens or kings. Don't create drama. Not only will you never become staff that way, you'll be banned. It's abuse of our community. Drama queens and kings here in the past have often gotten upset over not being picked for staff and then proceeded to harass people over that. Onsite or, if they couldn't get away with it there, offsite. It should be no wonder why they aren't being picked, but it is often something they can't stop doing onve they start.
You can't get away with it either way. If you do it, you'll be banned. You should join this place to enjoy roleplay, Warriors, and general fun chitchat and games. If you wind up becoming staff and enjoy it, great. If you do not get picked, it is not our fault, it is not us abusing you in some way. We do not owe anyone a spot on staff and you can't just work your way into automatically earning one. Just enjoy the roleplay, and don't obsess over it.
Oh--if someone on this site IS harassing you--by PM, AIM, whatever--let us know. We will look into it always.
That's all.
